Post Fooled by the normalization method and some narrow rings
While analyzing the data in the file CO20050101-LCE-AjC.txt at the French CNRS database I observed a number of quite high Baillie/Pilcher and Hollstein based TTest correlation values which were not considered as correct datings. An analysis revealed that it was caused by a combination of VERY narrow rings and a weakness in these normalization methods.
