WSL Dendro Database

WSL Dendro Database, Switzerland, is freely available on the web, and contains a lot of collections of tree ring data, mainly from trees growing near the timberline latitude or altitude. Several types of tree ring data may be available for the same site:

• minimum density
• maximum density
• earlywood density
• latewood density
• earlywood width
• latewood width
• ring width
• approx. age of pith

Usually the same data is available also by the ITRDB. The data format used in this database is tucson format with the filename extension .tuc. The data is also available through a GIS application (i.e. a map).
