Cybis Wiki Policy for uploading images and other files

According to server capacity and security Cybis Wiki do not allow all registered users to upload images or other files.

Images

As images files on Cybis Wiki have to be under a free license (GFDL, CC-BY-SA or PD, most of them also fits Wikimedia Commons (if not outside their scope). Cybis Wiki policy therefore is that the image (in as god resolution as possible) should be uploaded at Wikimedia Commons. When an article on Cybis Wiki needs an illustration, available at Commons a request for upload here is done. A copy of the Commons image just in the resolution needed for the illustration purpose will be uploaded, with a link to the original (the high resolution file at Commons). A request is done by inserting the text {{Request|filename.jpg|Text under the image if you like}} in the article you are writing. (to speed up the request you also may a note at some of the upload users.
