Working with Multi-radius samples

When you have measured several radii from the same tree you can put your samples into a separate collection for that tree. Before you click the "Create mean value sample" button, see that you have checked the proper radiobutton for detrending! E.g. if you want a pure mean value curve witho...

The Development version of CDendro

There is now a new CDendro Development version available for testing. It is dated March 19 2009. The main feature is the Besancon index E algorithm now available as one of the main normalization algorithms used for plotting, like Proportion of last two years growth, Hollstein and Baillie/Pilcher. Th...

Why is Baillie/Pilcher corr coff not same as BaPi corr?

http://www.cybis.se/forumimages/bapi2.gif Question: Are the indicated fields above signs of an error in CDendro? Why these differences? In this case, the normalized data of the reference has been calculated as mean values from normalized data of all members of a collection. The sample 6680NY has th...

Re: The development (test) version of CooRecorder

The AutoPlace mode is now improved. When you have set the start point, a thin line will connect that point with your cursor to make it easier to see where to set the end point. A perpendicular line is also drawn which should be parallel with the tree rings at the best position. ----- Sort of a rule...

"Help lines" as paths to follow when measuring

Olivier Bouriaud recently wrote me: The second improvement (if one considers it as one) would be the ability to draw a line and then to have the cursor following it during the ring-border delineation process, the way things work in DendroScan or Lignovision for ex. It is easier to draw lines perpand...

Re: Questions raised by the Hollstein data

...With this graph you found hard evidence for Hollstein's 207 year mismatch! The quality of the match is indeed good. Though the look of that match may be because of a mix of wood from different times! Either such a mix might be the cause that made the match at all occur. Or, without the mix the m...

Re: Questions raised by the Hollstein data

I have now added an extra section "More information" to my Hollstein pages at http://www.cybis.se/forfun/dendro/hollstein . The two first items of that section are already reported within this forum/this topic. Though at the end of that section there are two pictures showing the curve matc...
